Hi all,

I am currently looking for a plane to restore and use that is built with quality.

I am not a collector, but I was hoping someone here could help identify the approximate year range that these planes were made, particularly the Stanley.

Cheers!

The Dunlap is probably a Sargent. I'll need to see the frog to date it but it's probably a type 5 or 6 or later. It should be a decent user once tuned.

Thank you for the help. One last question if possible. The Stanley was sold. Which do you think I should buy if I intend to use it?

Thanks again.

The Dunlap looks like a smoother and the 4 most a jack. How much are they?

20$ each. I just offered $30 for the 4most(low angle) and a used bit brace.

Not sure if I should wait and check the local flea market.

The 4most is low angle? It looks like a regular Jack in the picture. If the pitting is as bad on the irons as it looks, $20 ea is more than I would pay.
