This answer came fro THCKK..

The semi-circular saw-tooth mark was used by Simmons Hardware Co. from 1899-1905. As you indicated Ohio Tool Co. made the KK planes for Simmons through 1912. From 1913 on the planes used just a single K in the model listing and were made by Stanley Tool Co.

The semi circular saw tooth logo was only used on wooden planes (manufactured by Ohio Tool for Simmons from 1899 to 1905). The Wedge and Bar logo would have been on your KK7 originally. Simmons started offering the Ohio Tool Co. manufactured metal planes in 1906 and they had Wedge and Bar logo cutters at that time.
