Cannot believe my eyes when I looked up and seen this on the top shelf and then antique store I want over and grabbed it and seen the button about fell over. And only paid 17.50 for it...... all the parts move on it needs a little TLC

How do you adjust the base for different radii?
I do see a bit of rust near the ends. Be careful of breaking those rivets, same with the rivets by the mouth. Theses are weak points in metallic compass planes.
