This is a group shot of the Keen Kutter collection to date. It's still not complete but I've been taking my time and trying to resist acquiring every Keen Kutter that I come across. I'm trying to stay focused on the Stanley built bench planes and not branch into the Ohio built KK's or blocks. Still need to locate a good K6 and K7. Of course a K2 would be nice as well but I'm not holding my breath.

What a great collection. I picked up a K4 today to go with my #4 collection.

Thanks Don, it means a lot coming from you. Good luck on the #4 collection. I just started working on a 4 1/2 sub collection. I picked up an Ohio 4 1/2 that's in the shop today. Working on repairing the tote.

Brock....did you see my post on this recent score I made off ebay? Curious if you've ran across any like this KK Stearns gauge.

poa yes I saw your post on this guage and no I haven't seen many of them at all. The K55 plane gauge was offered from 1912 to 1929. What I have been able to find is that there were 3 variants, the earliest is in full nickel and the wedge and bar logo only has Keen Kutter in it, the next variant is still in full nickel but the logo now contains E.C. Simmons and Cutlery-Tools, the last variant looks like yours with one nickelled fence and one japanned. When I hear of one selling they are usually in the $80 to $100 range.
