Hey all!

Found this really beat up single bit axe head in the bottom of a box lot I purchased. I doubt its even worth restoring in its current condition, but was still curious if it could be ID'ed. Only marks I can find are an "E" or "F" on one face towards the butt, and what might be a "P" on the bottom of the neck where it meets the handle. I'm thinking the "P" is probably just a "pass" inspection stamp though.

Any info on my new doorstop would be appreciated! Haha thanks.

I can't help with ID, but I'd definitely clean it up, sharpen it, hang it and use it.

I agree with Don. I can not ID, but that axe is certainly not only savable but will make a great user. Clean, hang, sharpen, use.
