I recently picked up my first Stanley transition plane. I primarily collected Stanley bench planes and have stayed away from transition planes, but this one was $4 and in decent shape. I am having trouble finding anything on type studies for the transition planes and was wondering if someone could help me get a manufacture date on this. It's hard to see in the pictures, but there is a patent date or number on the lateral adjustment lever beneath 'Stanley' and there could possibly be a patent date on the cutting iron beneath 'Stanley' as well but it is very faint.

Thanks for any help.
