I am trying to restore two old planes.  One is a Bailey 5 1/2 and the other is a Winchester W5.  I want to clean up the screws and mounting holes with some taps and dies, but I cannot determine what size and thread of tools I need.  I thought they were 1/4-20, but they are not (too big).  I swear the thread matches a 20 thread per inch.  There is no such tap or die size I can find in a slightly smaller diameter.  What the heck did they use?  Also wondering about other taps or dies I might need for restoration?  Reverse thread types for adjustment studs?

They are 12-20. This link will give you sizes and if you scroll to the bottom a link to the ones I bought. You can usually find them on eBay as well.

I failed to locate the correct link to view your tap and die tools or else I missed the photos Don.  I did get the info about the availability on eBay, but not info about where you purchased yours.  Enjoyed a long trip around all the website(s) though!
