I finally got around to finishing the small machinist chest a few weeks ago.  I didn't do a full restoration, just cleaned up, fixed the damage, and re-shellaced.  I'm happy with the results, but still have a ways to go on these.   I didn't try to refinish the bottom after fixing the cracks  (2-part wood bondo and 2-part epoxy), I may still go back and do that.  It just bugs me.  The new rivets are a bit larger head diameter than the old, and the new knobs look a bit out of place.  But now I have room for more old tools !!
